In SAS Web Report Studio, when viewing a report that contains date values, the dates might be sorted alphabetically based on the formatted value instead of chronologically on the unformatted value.
This problem is most likely to occur if the report author has set the report to display detail instead of aggregated data.
Note: To display detail data, you use the Aggregate or Detail dialog box, which is available from the Options menu in the Edit Report view.
For example, if the report includes a date data item that is formatted using the MONNAM3. format, then the date values will be sorted in alphabetical order (Apr, Aug, Dec, Feb, etc.), instead of in chronological order (Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, etc.).
